14th Annual Rock Art Foundation Rendezvous,
October 16–18, 2009

It’s that time of year again for the Rock Art Foundation’s most exciting event! The Rendezvous will be held October 16, 17 and 18 at the White Shaman Preserve. This year the format will focus on site tours making as many available as possible. No reservations are required for RAF tours but registration is required for the Rendezvous. For those of you who haven’t participated before, the event includes camping at the Preserve, entertainment Saturday night, rolls and coffee on Saturday and Sunday mornings, a BBQ dinner on Saturday night (we are unable to provide menu changes), and all RAF arranged tours - all for $60 per person over 12 years of age. Lunches are not provided. Children under age 12 can attend and participate free of charge although most tours are not suitable for small children.

In addition to RAF tours, Seminole Canyon State Park will offer Presa, Upper Canyon and Fate Bell tours over the weekend. See attached schedule for times, dates and reservation requirements. Fees for these tours must be paid directly to the Park at the time of the tour.

The White Shaman Preserve is located 40 miles west of Del Rio on Hwy 90 close to the confluence of the Pecos and Rio Grande Rivers – just 2 miles west of Seminole Canyon State Park.

Gates will open at noon on Friday. Early arrival is possible – let us know. Porta Potties will be available and all Rendezvous participants may use the shower facilities at Seminole Canyon State Park. Pets will not be allowed at Rendezvous as they can create a danger and disturbance for other participants. Please do not bring your pets. No generators please.

What to bring:
Camping and hiking equipment, dishes/silverware, and cups (washing area will be provided for clean up). Lunch. Snacks. Beverages (coffee, water, iced tea and lemonade will be provided).

Notes:
SCSP (Seminole Canyon State Park) reservations may be made within 30 days of event by calling 1.432.292.4464.
High clearance vehicle mandatory for Lewis Canyon and Halo.
High clearance preferred for Meyers Springs.
Shower facilities at Seminole Canyon State Park are available for all Rendezvous participants.
We ask all participants to observe quiet time from 10PM to 6 AM. No generators please.

Tours are subject to local conditions - rain, lake level, temperatures, road conditions - and are subject to cancellation.
Cancellation: Cancellation must be 2 weeks prior to event for full $60 refund - 1 week prior for 1/2 refund. No refunds for inclement weather.
